Six suspects are at large after stealing around P180,000 worth of personal belongings from a Japanese national in Calamba City on March 20.

The incident occurred around 12:45 pm at the RSM Restaurant in Real, Calamba City.

According to the police report, one of the suspects inquired to the complainant and a witness about their car's alleged crash incident. The other two witnesses saw that other suspects stole the black backpack of the Japanese victim and exited in different directions.

The belongings of the Japanese national including a passport, mobile, driver's license, and tablet, with an estimated amount of P183,919.06, were stolen by four men and two women who fled on a Toyota Innova SUV.

The Japanese and a witness appeared at the Calamba Component City Police Station (CCCPS) to report the robbery on the evening of the same day.

Police Chief Master Sergeant Nelson Tejada, chief investigator of the Calamba CCPS, told the Daily Manila Shimbun that the investigation, backtracking, and forward tracking of the CCTV footage are ongoing.

"Once we identify them, we will file a case against them," Tejada said. Kate Christian Ravelo/DMS
