A fire burned down a plastics factory for 15 hours in Valenzuela City on Good Friday.

Initial reports from the Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region showed that the fire started at the Flexo Manufacturing Corp., Brgy. Veinte Reales, Valenzuela City and was raised to the first alarm at 5:27pm, and moved to the third alarm at 5:42pm.

Task Force Alpha was declared at 7:50pm.

The fire was declared under control at 8:12am on Saturday.

"Following the orders of Mayor Wes Gatchalian, around 800 firefighters, rescue personnel, and social workers were deployed and continue to respond to the fire incident that reached Task Force Alpha," the Valenzuela City government said in a Facebook post.

Water filtration trucks and backhoes were sent by the Valenzuela City government to aid in the firefighting efforts.

No casualties were reported and no families were evacuated. Yzabela Velez-White/DMS
