Russian YouTuber Vitaly Zdorevetskiy, who is infamous for his pranks, was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly harassed Filipinos as part of his social media content in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig.

Zdorevetskiy, 34, was about to board a car in front of a hotel in Pasay City when he was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) around 12:10 p.m.

CIDG director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said they had a mission order from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) for being an undesirable alien after he violated provisions of Commonwealth Act 613, or the Philippine Immigration Act.

The Russian, who was wearing a black shirt, black shorts and a bull cap, appeared to be pleading his case but the police officers did not budge.

“We have read the online outrage and we coordinated with other authorities for proper actions against the subject. We cannot just let this incident pass,” Torre said in a statement.

He is detained at the BI’s detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig. DMS
