An 18-year-old student who shot his alleged girlfriend inside her class room before shooting himself in Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija on Thursday died, police said.

Col. Heryl Bruno, Nueva Ecija police director, said the suspect known only as Leo died on Friday at around 3 p.m.

The 15-year-old girl is still in critical condition in the intensive care unit of a hospital.

Bruno said the couple has been quarreling.

Police are trying to find out how the suspect got a .22 caliber gun which he used in the shooting incident. DMS
