Eight persons died and 14 were injured after the small dump truck they were riding on fell into a ravine in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the mini-dump truck was headed to Cotabato City when the truck passed a sharp curve and the brakes allegedly malfunctioned.

The truck hit a debris and fell into a ravine.

The driver and 20 passengers were rushed by responders to a hospital but eight were pronounced dead on arrival by doctors. DMS
