Senator Imee Marcos believes that the administration bets in the Upper House are among those who want to dismiss the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte.
"For me I doubt that not only the so-called pro-Duterte are interested in the dismissal (of the impeachment trial). I feel that the administration itself has a group who wants to dismiss it as they might lose in numbers", Marcos said on Thursday.
This comes after a resolution calling for the dismissal of the impeachment trial from the office of Senator Ronald Dela Rosa circulated online.
Marcos said she saw a ''lot'' of resolutions seeking the dismissal of the impeachment trial against Duterte.
"Yes there are a lot (of resolutions). The one that was released to the media is I think the third then after that I think I saw more. I think around two?", Marcos added.
Senate President Francis Escudero previously moved the reading of the articles of impeachment against Duterte to June 11 from June 2. This will leave the Senate with one more session before it adjourns sine die on June 13. Marie Manalili/DMS
