A van, carrying 14 passengers, was a tourist group enroute to Buscalan Village, Barangay Tinglayan, Kalinga from Pampanga when the vehicle stalled and fell into a river in Barangay Ampawilen, Sadanga, Mountain Province on Friday night.

The incident occurred in Barangay Poblacion at around 10 p.m., the police provincial office said in a report.

In a social media post, Sadanga Provincial Police Station said two men and two women were declared dead on the spot, while one man was declared dead on arrival at Bontoc General Hospital.

The remaining passengers were brought to Bontoc General Hospital for treatment, with one passenger discharged.
