Former solon claims then Speaker Romualdez will ''shoot'' him if he talks

Zaldy Co, the former head of the House appropriations committee, said that ex Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez will ''shoot'' him if he reveals the budget insertion.

Co, in his third video in as many days released on Sunday, alleged that Romualdez added it could be ''dangerous'' if he returns to the Philippines.

The former congressman said Romualdez called him up and told him if he returns to the country,''it may be dangerous. ''They might hire someone to do a rubout on me and hire the police to kill me while in jail. ''

Co challenged Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla to investigate Romualdez.

On Saturday, Co said in a video that P25 billion from the P100 billion which he reportedly claimed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wanted inserted in the 2025 budget went to the chief executive.

Presidential Communications Office Secretary Dave Gomez told Bilyonaryo News Channel that Co will be protected if he decides to come home.

Gomez reiterated that Co's comments were hearsay.

Co said that Henry Alcantara, one of the former public works officials reportedly linked to the flood control scandal, told the Independent Commission on Infrastructure that the amount involved was P21 billion.

''This is not true. The real amount of P56 billion and that is for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and (former Speaker) Martin Romualdez,'' claims Co.

Co said he will reveal details in the coming days. ''Just a little patience, I hope I will not be killed before I reveal everything,'' he said.

Co left the country last July 19 to seek medical treatment. DMS
