Two people died and another one was injured after fire broke out in a residential area in Malabon City on Monday night.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of the National Capital Region (NCR), the fire at 116 Sociego St. in Barangay Tinajeros was first reported around 11:54 pm Monday.

An initial report shows that the victims including a woman in mid 40's and a three-year-old girl died while a six-year-old girl was injured.

The victims were reportedly trapped inside their house during the fire.

The first alarm was raised around 12:05 am of Tuesday before it was declared under control at 12:11 am and extinguished around 12:38 am of the same day. Robina Asido/DMS
