Two persons, including a minor, died while five others were injured in a residential fire at Barangay 81, Caloocan City on Wednesday afternoon.
A 52-year-old disabled male and a 16-year-old female died in a fire that burned down 70 houses. The fire was put on first alarm at 4:50 pm and declared second alarm at 4:53 pm.
Fire under control was declared at 6:17 pm and fire out was declared at 9:57 pm.
The five injured suffered from lacerations, electrocution, and multiple abrasions.
In a phone interview with the Daily Manila Shimbun, Senior Fire Officer 3 Randel Angeles said that the estimated cost of damage was at 300,000 pesos.
90 families were affected by the fire incident.
