Last Monday, Ambassador Endo Kazuya attended the 44th Philippines-Japan Friendship Celebration (PJFC) and Medal of Merit Conferment Ceremony organized by the Philippines-Japan Society (PJS).
In this enduring tradition, the PJS honors remarkable individuals for their contributions in enhancing Japan and the Philippines’ mutual bond. This year’s awardee, former Philippines-Japan Economic Cooperation committee chairman, Roberto Castillo, was warmly feted.
During his speech, Ambassador Endo expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the PJS and its partners for their continued support. He also shared his anticipation for next year’s celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Normalization of Japan and the Philippines’ Diplomatic Relations and in making it a “year of friendship to remember.” Japan Information and Culture Center
