Trust ratings of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr rose to 48 percent in June, up 10 percentage points from May, Social Weather Stations (SWS) said Tuesday.
In a poll done June 25-29, Marcos' net trust rating went up to 18 percent from three months of negative net trust ratings. It went down to a net trust rating of minus 3 in March, minus 4 in April and minus 1 on May.
In an interview at Storycon, Stratbase Group head Dindo Manhit said Marcos' number shows that he is ' recovering from a really downtrend especially after the arrest of (former) President Duterte on March 11. ''
Stratbase Group, in a statement by SWS, commissioned the survey.
Vice President Sara Duterte's trust rating remained at 61 percent but her net trust rating rose by one percentage point to 38 percent.
Manhit said her ratings recovered since the Senate impeachment trial against her did not proceed. ''This has given her a respite,'' he said.
A separate SWS poll said 66 percent believe that Duterte should answer the allegations against her when the impeachment trial is held after the 20th Congress opens on July 28. DMS
