President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed corporate communications executive Dave Gomez as the new secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the fifth PCO under his administration.
In a press conference Thursday, Palace Press Office Undersecretary Claire Castro confirmed that Gomez has accepted the President's offer.
“Secretary Dave will ensure clear and truthful government messaging for every Filipino,” Castro said.
Gomez replaces former acting PCO secretary Jay Ruiz.
Ruiz was transferred to the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), to serve as one of the board of directors.
