The government will issue fuel subsidies to public transportation as a big price increase is expected on Tuesday.

Assistant Transportation Secretary Mon Ilagan said on Sunday that ''the fuel subsidy program is ready.'' ''The list of beneficiaries will be given to the Land Transportation and Franchising Board (LTFRB), he told dzBB.

Fuel prices are expected to rise by P 5 a liter on Tuesday.

Ilagan said the LTFRB is finalizing guidelines for distributing the fuel subsidy. DMS
