Presidential sister and re-electionist Senator Imee Marcos neared the magic 12 senatorial slot for the 2025 poll in the Social Weather Stations (SWS) that gave her a gain of five percentage points amid endorsement from Vice President Sara Duterte,

In a national survey conducted from April 11 to 15, a month before the midterm polls, Marcos ranked 13th-14th place from 16th place last month with 24 percent.

Marcos trails former Senator Manny Pacquiao, who went down to 12th, as he lost two percentage points from the March survey to 25 percent. With Marcos at 13th to 14th spot was TV show host Willie Revillame, who lost four percentage points from last month to 24 percent.

The survey, which had 1,800 respondents, was done within the period when Duterte endorsed the Senate re-election bid of Marcos in a 30-second campaign advertisement posted in Facebook on April 14.

Senator Bong Go led the survey with 45 percent followed by ACT-CIS Partylist Rep. Erwin Tulfo with 43 percent and Senator Lito Lapid with 34 percent.

Former Senate President Tito Sotto and Senator Pia Cayetano shared fourth and fifth positions with 33 percent.

Senator Ronald Dela Rosa placed sixth (32 percent), a three percentage point increase from ninth place last month while Senator Bong Revilla and broadcaster Ben Tulfo tied for seventh to eight spots at 31 percent.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay rose to 9th place (29 percent) and Las Pinas Rep. Camille Villar rose to 10th (28 percent). They were tied from 11th to 13th places last month.

Former Senator Ping Lacson went down from a tie for seventh to eight places last month to 11th place (26 percent).

In statistical contention for the 12th place are Senator Imee Marcos and TV host Willie Revillame who both tied in 13th to 14th place with 24 percent support. Marie Manalili/DMS
