A Chinese and two Filipino suspects in the kidnap-slay of Filipino-Chinese magnate Anson Que and his driver Armanie Pabillo are under police custody, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Saturday.
PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil said the suspects were Chinese David Tan Liao, Ricardo David and Raymart Catequista.
Liao surrendered Saturday before the Anti-Kidnapping Group and confessed to his role
David and Catequista were arrested in Barangay IV in Roxas, Palawan on Friday around 3 am.
Businessmen were on an uproar over the kidnapping of the businessman and his driver, done on March 29, and the discovery of their bodies in April 9.
The suspects underwent inquest before the Department of Justice where they were charged with criminal complaints for two counts of kidnapping for ransom with homicide.
Two other Chinese nationals remain at large .
Que and Pabillo were kidnapped last March 29 and an initial ransom of $20 million was made to Que’s family.
PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo said the two were killed on the evening of April 8 and their bodies were found in Rodriguez, Rizal on April 9. DMS
