A few days after Senator Imee Marcos held her third hearing on the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte and surveys showing her trailing in the Magic 12 senatorial slate, Vice President Sara Duterte urged Filipinos to vote for her.
In a 30-second advertisement posted by Marcos in her Facebook page, Duterte said: "vote for Senator Imee'' ias they stood side by side.
Duterte and Marcos, who both wore black, spoke about the "dark" situation of the country. Duterte said: ''Fight for what is right'' to which Marcos replied: ''Correct what is wrong''.
"Black is the state of the country which is experiencing hunger and crimes", Duterte said.
Marcos added that not only does the country experience hunger but lacks justice where some are "oppressing non-alliance members"
"Itim" or the color black was used in campaign advertisement as an abbreviation including the hashtag included in the caption of the post "#Inday (Sara Duterte) Trusts Imee Marcos". It was also used as a color for compassion and unity. Marie Manalili/DMS
