A Grade 8 public school student in Paranaque was arrested after he stabbed to death on Wednesday afternoon hisclassmate who refused to lend her makeup kit.
The suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was turned by police to the social welfare officers.
Police said the stabbing occurred inside the school in Barangay Moonwalk at around 1 p.m.
Lt. Col. Eric Anguista, assistant chief of police for administration of the Paranaque police, said that prior to the incident, the victim reported to a teacher that the suspect pointed a kitchen knife at her.
When the teacher went to the classroom, the suspect tried to go outside where he crossed paths with the victim at the door.
The suspect took out the knife from his bag and repeatedly stabbed the girl many times in front of their classmates.
The victim managed to runand sought help from a security guard, who in turn alerted a barangay public safety officer.
The victim was brought to a hospital where she was declared dead on arrival from four stab wounds.
Anguista said they filed a criminal complaint for homicide against the suspect before the city prosecutor’s office. DMS
