An earthquake, earlier reported at magnitude 5.1 and revised to 4.6, jolted Surigao Del Norte on Sunday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said the epicenter is located 26 kilometers northeast of Burgos, Surigao Del Norte.
The quake, which was tectonic in origin,has a depth of 14 kilometers, Phivolcs said.
Intensity III was felt in the City of Surigao, Surigao del Norte and City of Tandag, Surigao del Sur.
Instrumental Intensity III was recorded in the City of Surigao.
Phivolcs said there were no expected damages and aftershocks from this earthquake. Kate Christian Ravelo/DMS
