The Philippine government appointed Abdulraof Macacua as the new interim chief of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Palace Press Officer and Undersecretary Claire Castro said Sunday.
He replaced Al Haj Murad, chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Macacua is governor of Maguindanao Province.
No reason was given by the Palace. DMS
