Deaths from ''Dante'' rise to nine: NDRRMC
The death toll due to Tropical Storm ''Dante'' rose to nine, with two injured and one missing, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Saturday.
The three deaths were in Calubian, Leyte . They were two boys, aged seven and two who were reported missing and a 51- years-old woman who was caught in a flash flood while trying to cross a river.
The NDRRMC said search and rescue operation for the missing victim is ongoing while the data on casualties are still subject for verification.
As of 8 am, the NDRRMC also recorded a total of P86,110,147.60 worth of damage to agriculture in Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Davao, Soccsksargen and Caraga.
The damage to infrastructure in Central Visayas, Davao, Mimaropa and Caraga is at P 53,730,000. Robina Asido/DMS
