The reproduction number for coronavirus disease cases (COVID-19) went up this week even as the NCR does not account for majority of the cases.
OCTA Research Fellow Guido David told dzBB that it rose to 0.73 from 0.68 this week. He added that cases from NCR went down to 1,100 a day from a peak of 2,800.
''There are some local government units where cases have gone up. Paranaque is a concern, also Pasay and Malabon,'' said David.
David said that NCR does not form the bulk of COVID-19 cases as provinces have been reporting an increase.
He said these include Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo and Bacolod. DMS
