A Philippine Army major and two soldiers in civilian clothes were killed in an ambush by members of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) in Maguindanao province on Monday. Col. Dickson Hermoso, the Army’s 6th Infantry Division spokesman, said they were flagged down by armed men along the national highway.
