The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said three aircraft owned by a former member of the House of Representatives allegedly linked to anomalous flood control projects in government are in Malaysia and Singapore.

According to the CAAP, three registered air assets connected to former Congressman Zaldy Co left the country in August and September.

Two Agusta Westland helicopters are currently in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, having flown there on August 20 and September 11, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Gulfstream aircraft has been in Singapore since August 16, it stated.

Co, the former head of the House appropriations committee, is said to own 11 air assets.

CAAP assures that it will continue "to closely monitor all registered air assets in accordance with the law."

In a previous press conference, Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon revealed that based on the information from CAAP, Co owned a total of 11 registered air assets including a long-range jet aircraft and different types of helicopters.

"4.7 billion pesos is the total value of air assets owned by Cong. Zaldy Co, registered in various companies," said Dizon. Robina Asido/DMS
