Police apprehend Japanese for having nude pictures
Police apprehended a Japanese national for possessing photographs of nude women in Cebu City on Wednesday.
A report from the Central Visayas regional police office said the Japanese was caught in the act while holding many photos of nude women at 1:20 pm Wednesday.
Operatives from the Women and Children Protection Center - Visayas Field Unit apprehended the Japanese inside a photo shop at the third floor of Ayala Center.
Seized were 294 pictures of naked women, a camera, a secure dgital card containing pornographic materials, P52,000 in cash and 4,000 Japanese yen.
The women on the photos are reportedly dancers in several nightspots in Mandaue City.
Police said a case against the Japanese for violating the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, as amended by RA 10364, or the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012 was filed before the City Prosecutor's Office on Thursday.
The operation against the Japanese happened following a tip from an informant.
When interrogated by the police, the Japanese said the pictures will be used as brochures. Emmanuel Tupas
